Dear all,
I can’t believe it’s been nearly 10 months since the last time I had a post on CreateH. I have had the most amazing, roller coaster emotional last year of my life, that’s for sure. So many changes. And yet, here I am, at the cusp of a brand new year. I can without hesistation, say that if you asked me January of last year, or even when I wrote my last post if I would be where I am now, I wouldn’t believe you. I’m completely happy with all of the changes, and so excited for what might come in 2012. So here’s what’s happened since the last time I saw you.
This fall, I packed my bags and my apartment up, and moved to Boston, MA. I accepted a promotion and I now work in the Boston Design Center, as a Design Account Executive for Sherwin-Williams. I’ve been with them for almost three years now, and I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am here. (And they didn’t pay me to say that!). I now work with architects, designers and decorative artists to sell our brand and manage our showroom here at the BDC so designers can access swatches and tools while they shop.
I now live in Boston, which is 7.5 hours from Rochester, where I am from. It’s been interesting, gaining a new social circle and exploring the city, and I’ve been here for a month now. I have access to SO much, from stores like Crate and Barrel, to West Elm, and all the showrooms at the BDC, that I never would have been able to see in Rochester. My apartment is an adorable two room studio in East Boston with gorgeous hardwood floors, big windows, lots of light and a huge kitchen (of course!). I’m still settling and getting it decorated, but pictures will come soon.
As for the blog, expect more common posts, I expect to get into a routine soon. I’ll be applying to grad school in the spring, hopefully for marketing, since that’s primarily what I do. I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings!
