About Create H///Heather

Hey there! I’m Heather. I’m a blogger, designer account executive for Sherwin-Williams. I’m a twenty-something living in Boston, MA. Originally a New Yorker, I have a love for color, crazy addiction to social media in design, and love of home remodeling and interior design. I grew up in the industry, both of my parents in property management/real estate, and I can’t remember growing up without some part of my house being fixed/remodeled/rearranged. You could say its in my blood. I tried to study art in college, which lead to journalism, but I realized I wasn’t doing what I loved. A few American Studies classes later, I was able to study American art history and photography, renewed my love of art and social media began to rise. Facebook and Twitter came out, I found blogspot and then WordPress, and bam…CreateH was born.

After college, I continued moving up with Sherwin Williams, and three years later I’m in Boston, working with designers to sell the best brand in the world. (And no, they didnt pay me to say that). I live in a fabulous apartment, right on the ocean above the city, and this summer, as I enjoy my new grill and porch with a view…I’m also going to be decorating, building and painting. Putting new knobs on dresser drawers, making shelves, painting accent walls, shopping for a kitchen table and chairs and maybe a parsons desk for the entry…the possibilities are endless. I’m going to DIY up a storm, mix high and low, and get lost in the ocean spray and some sweet tea.

When I’m not writing about my recent projects, I’ll be blogging my instagrams, pins from my Pinterest (I’m Createh- follow me!) great interior styling, fabrics, inspiration from fashion design, prop styling, wedding design and maybe some floral design too. I have a fondess for all things mid century, shabby chic and scandanavian.

I guess some things never change….

This is me at age 9, painting the windows of a local Wendy’s Fast Food Restaurant for my 4th grade art class. I’m in the middle in the white shirt!

All in all, I really hope you like my blog, come back and visit often, and *comment!*
